hmmm, what about good old corn bread and chili!? I have a recipe that my mom gave me from cooking light. Its supposed to be vegetarian but I added ground turkey. Hope you like it!
~Leash
1 can (15 oz) pinto beans, rinsed and drained
1 can (15 oz) chili beans, undrained
1 can (15 oz) black beans, rinsed and drained
1 can diced tomatoes
1/2 cup chicken broth
2 tsp ground cumin
1/2 teas chili powder
1 lb cooked ground turkey
4 cloves minced garlic
Combine all ingredients in crock pot and mix well, cover and cook on low for 5 to 6 hours or on high for 1 to 2 hours. If chili is not thick enough add a small amount of corn starch. Serve with chips, cheese, sour cream whatever!
After I typed this while thing out I realized you wanted something fast but this doesn't take long to make intially, you just have to let it simmer so you can do other stuff while its cooking! :happy:0 -
You can go to google and type in 30 min. meals and so much will come up. Or, do what I do, and just think of any food you want to eat and find the recipe online. For example:
I love to cook in the crockpot cuz its ready when I get home. So I think of something I like (last night it was crockpot white chicken chili ) and type it in and I always find an easy version that sounds good.
Hope that helps.

When my 6 kids where young and I didn't have time to do alot of stove top or oven cooking I would use a crockpot to do it for me. Now that it is only my husband and myself I still use the crockpot about 5 days a week. I had found a wonderful site for recipes.
