Will I gain weight on steroids?

I partially tore my ACL and MCL and didn't go to the doctor until I went running on it last Monday and it started to reallly hurt... and swell. My doctor prescribed me anti inflammatory and a 5 day steroid pack to stop the swelling. I was wondering if the steroids, though for only a few days, would cause weight gain? Anyone have experience with this?

I was on steroids once for ten days. It did seem to increase my appetite, but I think that if you try to be mindful of what u eat, u really don't have to gain anything as you're only doing a 5 day course

I doubt it for that short amount of time.

I was on them for 5 months due to an autoimmune problem and heck yeah I gained weight! My head seemed huge too! LOL!

It will increase your appetite, and therefore gain weight if you eat alot more. Just stay mindful of what and how much you are eating.

I've never been on them for less than 7 days, but yes. I've always gained weight. Try to be super careful of what you eat, and increase activity.
