Sounds good! I make a similar recipe but without the cinnamon chips! I bet that adds a good flavor!

You're right, if you stay away from carbs or do low-carb, then they aren't for you

Personally, I love my carbs and am just fine with them. Especially when they taste this good!

I'm not sure where you're located, but a lot of grocery stores carry them - they're with the chocolate chips. Both Meijer and Wegmans has them and Wal-Mart has them, but only seasonaly I believe.

I made these last weekend without the chips....they were great....but had to give some of them away....LOL. Didn't want them in the house.

Beware, cinnamon chips and most cake mixes contain partially hydrogenated oils. PHOs will derail your weightloss.

If you don't know how important it is to get this garbage out of your diet, read here:

Better to make your muffins from scratch and use extra virgin coconut oil, grapeseed oil or real butter (or substitute applesauce for the fat), real cinnamon and pumpkin pie spice. They will taste so much better without that awful "cake mix" flavor that comes from the vanillin (imitation vanilla). I can taste a cake mix anywhere. ugh. Only thing worse is canned frosting. BLECH!

    blessings.
