Is that rate Ok?

I have been losing weight with the same rate the last three weeks.. Every week , I lose 1.4 lbs! is that rate ok or too slow?

    Rate of loss is proportional to amount needed to lose. In other words, if you're 500 lbs, then you can probably lose it at a much faster pace than someone who is 180.

    That being said, I think 1.4lb/week is going to fall in the reasonable category for most people.

    My scale didn't move this week so I would take 1.4 in a heart beat....it would put me .2 of a pound from onederland!

    I lose at about 1 lb per week if I am lucky xD I am 123 lbs tho

    I agree! I think that 1.5 is a fine pace, and is actually right around my weekly goal as well. I weigh 153 right now, and so I think that losing about 1.4-1.5 pounds a week is a good and steady and healthy pace. :wink:

  • That's great! The recommended amount to lose per week is 1 to 2lbs. You can crash diet and lose more but a slow steady loss has a better chance of staying off because the sensible habits that enable a 1 to 2lb loss are ones you can maintain for life. Keep up the good work!

    Better than nothing!!! The amount of weight doesn't always matter..but that is GREAT!!!
