They won tonight, 5-2. Just felt like sharing. Anyone else a fan of the Blackhawks? (:

    I don't mind that your Blackhawks won, but I'm bummed that my Avs lost to the Red Wings. I'm bummed when any team loses to the Red Wings.

    BOOOO blackhawks lol I am not a fan they beat us two years in row in playoff season ( Vancouver canucks) but we showed them last year and went all the way to almost win the cup :) Lets go canucks!!!!!

    Uh... no. But, it's great to see another female hockey fan! Go, Pens! Woo hoo! We beat Calgary tonight!

    Totally agree about not being a Flyer fan and CAN. NOT. STAND. the Red Wings either!

    Ack!!! Ok, I can see why people like the Red Wings. People are attracted to teams that are guaranteed to do well, no risking your loyalties. But hating the Avs? Does not compute. What's to hate???

    But seriously, for the girl who went to the game, Wings fan or not, that Forsberg tribute must have been great. Was it? I would have traded a body part to have been there.

    Well, people are also attracted to teams from their hometowns. =) Gotta say I'm a huge fan of Lions, Tigers, and Wings alike. (Pistons... ehh, can take 'em or leave 'em. Not a huge basketball fan.) I wouldn't say I hate the Avs (at least not the way most Avs fans hate the Wings)... but I definitely could not cheer for them.

    That said - the Forsberg tribute was pretty cool. We got there a little late, but we got to see a few introductions, and Forsberg's whole speech. Right after his speech they raised his banner, and you could definitely tell that he was getting emotional. They also had little videos during the TV timeouts - some video clips of him playing, messages from former teammates on various teams, etc. I clapped a little for him. It was a great ceremony, and they did a really good job commemorating his career.

    This exactly, I'm from Michigan too, so of course we love our teams! I'm actually the same way, love the Lions, Tigers and Wings, just not a huge fan of basketball
