Is there such a thing as a reverse treat day?

I'd been successfully maintaining on around 2400 calories, when I bonked my head, got concussion and lost my appetite. I lolled around a lot, exercised less, and was 100s of calories under my target 2 days running. Then my weight was still stable, but now that I'm back to normal, it's creeping up (which it doesn't normally do).

Have I reset my metabolism by under eating for 2 days, like people who are losing weight use a treat day to boost their metabolism, but in reverse? If so, what should I do next?

Don't take notice of fluctuations of a few lbs over a few days, only the big picture.

You are over thinking it and making it more complicated than it needs to be. As long as you are doing more than you are eating you will be fine just give it time, the scale will do what it likes.

People who have treat days like to think of all kinds of different reasons for it, i do it to keep me sane. Sometimes it happens to be around the time i get a good loss, sometimes not.

    Try not to micro manage.

You didn't reset your metabolism in two days, I promise.

It is probably just a fluctuation, just keep going about maintenance as you usually do.

im not ripping on the OP here, im just curious on opinion.

Is resetting your metabolism even possible?

I mean if for whatever reason someones metabolism was to slow right down it would be evident in more ways than the scale surely?

I thought there was some science behind treat days, that the body expected the following days to be equally rewarding calorie-wise, so burnt more calories, or something like that.

could be different for different folks but i have noticed any change in routine takes a couple of week to start showing on my scale
