Whoops made a mistake, I meant protein not carbs...

OK, I need protein in my diet, lots more of it... xx I think I have found the right cheese, your thought as my cooking is going to change so much now xx

    quinoa is super high in protein, its a great sub for rice/pasta etc.

    What about a part-skim mozzarella. I've looked at nutrition facts online and seen some with 2g of fat or less and up to 22g of protein. I'm also a big fan of fat free cottage cheese for the higher protein content and I use it as a replacement in lasagna, drain it vehemently and then use it as the cheese on my salad (especially good with a fat free bleu cheese dressing for more 'chunk'), I've even resorted to putting my high protein cereal over it instead of milk in the mornings on occasion.     I love cheese, but it definitely slows things down, if you know what I mean, so it's not my major protein source. Weird Al Yankovic wrote a great song about that to the tune of Complicated by Jennifer Love Hewitt. You could consider lentils if you're not eating lean meat or fish.
