Yes, and it relieves cramps, elevates mood, and is an all round good idea.

I never let my period stop me from working out...Even when I was taking my Karate classes I didn't let it stop me...Actually it makes you feel better during your period (or at least it does for me)...

You know, I will never get over how few women actually know this...and how even fewer are reluctant to follow it...

Excercisse is the best thing you can do during your periods!

its beneficial, helps take your mind off your P's makes you feel better and relieves cramps :-) win win!
  • I did 20 mile run yesterday and was on my second day. I had to stop for short walks but I would have done that anyway with or without TOM.

ps, if you're doing fairly strenuous exercise, just bear in mind it might up your flow, when you're actually bleeding. So perhaps put in a bit of extra protection while you're at gym.

Side note, if you do streneous excercise and up your flow, you may find that they are actually horter than normal. You only have so much excess to rid and once it's gone you stop.
Also, if you don't push yourself it may well hurt just as much as over exerting yourelf. You have to reach the point where you alieviate the cramp, but not go so far as to hurt your body...which should be around your normal levels anyway.

Also, drink more water when working out on your periods. And as always, higher iron levels in your diet (not very high, just a bit) are always recommended as you loose both fluid and iron during your period.
