I need HELP. This is the first time this has ever happened to me... some PIG****ER (pardon moi francois), likely all pissy because mommy won't buy him 'War3' hacked into my iTunes account, of all things, downloaded that stupid game for their iPhone, which was free, and then proceeded to buy $10.41 of theoretically existing "points" for said stupid game. I thought it was my brother at first, as he is the only other person who had access to my iTunes account, and erroneously thinking he was logging into my mother's Paypal account to make payment, but he completely denies it and doesn't even have an iPhone/iPod touch/iPad, and I regret ever accusing him. Anyway, what do I do??! I found out the charges when I called my bank to check my balance and they told me I had to go to my branch to dispute them, but I'm confused as to how many avenues I have to go through. I changed all my iTunes password/security stuff.. wanted to close it down, as it won't let me keep it open without having my financial info linked (it's linked to my PayPal, which is set to debit from my checking), but I'm afraid they won't be able to look into the fraud if I don't keep my account open. I've saved all the email receipts and am going to print them out. My main question is, do I have to go through PayPal to dispute all this, not Apple or my bank? All the PayPal receipts have the number to file a claim, but seeing my mom deal with them on the phone in the past (and they only have a long distance number, which is bs) and they were total incompetents (and audibly outsourced),I do not want to deal with them. Help!!

Someone hacked into my paypal account recently, I am still dealing with it! Someone from China sent their self a large sum of money through paypal, that of course was taken out of my checking account b/c it's linked. I first opened a dispute with paypal, then I went into my bank and closed my account, opened a new one. I had to sign an affidavit stating those were false charges. They left my account open until they researched it, decided the charge was fraudulent, etc. Paypal took longer, they tried contacting the person, they never responded so I automatically won the dispute. However, still trying to get my money back!

If I were you, I'd open the dispute with Paypal, immediately contact your bank, and call Apple as well.

good luck with this... it may seem strange but consider yourself lucky that it was under $11 taken...

i agree with the above post. contact all parties and with it being a small amount, you may get a speedy refund.

Well, when it happened to me about a month back, it was $649 & an IPad was sent to somebody. They never caught the somebody, but I did contact PayPal. I also contacted my bank.

PayPal took over 10 days to even email me about the dispute. That means my checking account was in the red & racking up charges, so I had to call the bank before they sent the men with handcuffs!

The bank had me sign a theft affidavit. Then, they reversed the $649 & gave me all the charges back. It still took about a week to get it straight, but, at least, someone at the bank was looking after my account.

I saw an email about a month later that PayPal had refunded the money. Good thing I didn't have to wait a month b/c living with NO money for 1 week was hard enough!!

Good Luck. Call your bank. Report it to PayPal & ITunes. Take your debit card off of your PayPal acct. Use a credit card instead. That way if they steal from the Credit Card - it's not out of your bank account & you can report it to the CC company without you being the one stuck in the red!

Thank you all, you have helped calm my nerves.. and FYI it is a Visa check card linked to a PayPal account that is set to only debit from my checking account. I prefer to avoid using credit as it is a checking account only
