Sounds like a silly question but does anyone else get super grumpy or moody in the morning and just feel like eating everything in the house? This is the second day that I've noticed it. Maybe I just need some coffee or something.:)

I'm usually the opposite: happy in the morning and grumpy in the evening.

No idea if there's a correlation to it or not, but I know that the morning is my "me" time when everyone else sleeps in and the evening I'm usually busting my butt trying to do stuff for everyone else.

Here's to a better day, dearie.

Are you in the UK? Im finding the downturn to autumn particularly hard work, and yes, i'm low in the mornings. I find the quicker Iget moving, the better.

do you get enough sleep, and eat a good in the morning? do you go to bed uber-hungry the night before? these are things that affected my mood in the morning.
  • Yesterday was a terribly grumpy & depressing day for me. I ate quite a bit and had to go for a walk even when I didn't feel like exercising so that I wouldn't go over my calories. I read something yesterday about hormonal changes during weight loss and wonder if that may be the cause of my super-grumpy feeling. Whatever it is, I want it to stop! Fortunately, today I will be venturing out soon to my weekly meeting with my spiritual brothers and sisters. I love it there and sometimes wish there was a daily meeting. Soon enough tho'. Last night, I received some encouraging and supportive words from a friend and I would like to pass along what I hope will be something encouraging for you. Remember your new lifestyle is going to result in a new, healthier, rockin' you. There may be days that you eat more than you want to eat, but don't allow yourself to get down about it. Just keep going and do better the next day. Try to find something to do that brings you joy or maybe reach out to someone else who is having a rough day. I'm finishing up my coffee and starting my day here in Central Arkansas, a.k.a. HOG country. I hope you have a super-dee-dooper, fabulously hippity hoppity day.

I hate mornings. everyone who knows me knows not to talk to me, touch me or anything in the morning. But instead of wanting to eat everything I don't want to eat anything. Which is a bad thing with breakfast being important and all. I usually just drink one of those meal replacement drinks and have a granola bar or something. My stomach just doesn't like food early in the morning.

I'm grumpy between 4:30 and 6:30 PM. It's right after work, I have to drive home, get dinner on, check homework, tidy up the house... Coincidentally, that used to be my binging time too. Rainy days instantly depress me.

You guys are awesome! I think I got my answer. I went tent camping this weekend and basically slept on the ground(not much sleep). I do work weekends too so that made it a little more difficult. I had a fast food breakfast yesterday on the way to work(I know bad but I was running late. I know not an excuse.), I did think ahead enough to pack food in the cooler for my lunch and snacks so I wouldn't have to rely on the calorie killers(vending machines) but my breakfast just left me with a blah flat feeling. This morning I was running late for work and thought I grabbed everything and guess what? I forgot to get breakfast. Eating some fruit that I brought right now and drinking some coffee. Thank god I pack a little too much food so I can pick and choose items during the day.

Good point...the days are getting shorter, less daylight and it is getting cooler out. I spend most of the summer moring workout on my bike...as it gets cooler, I move inside to my basement for programs like P90X. Although I like the workout, I do not neccessarily care for working out in my basement as it has poor lighting. Anyways, that effects my mood. As far as eating...mornings are not my problem...evenings on the weekends I have to be on the look out for.
