I was looking for something to eat before my morning runs - I had been eating half a banana before my runs, but I was looking for a change, since I liked my full banana in my oatmeal after my run. I found these in whole foods (bulk section) and decided to try them. OMG they're sooooo yummy. One square has 60 calories, and they would be great to take on long runs too. All natural, raw ingredients and it's only sweetened with date paste. It's so tasty - I love these things! I think I may have to try some of their other flavors too :)

    I love dates as a natural sweetener. Works especially well in homemade almond milk.

    I like that the bars you linked to are vegan, too. That means ZERO CHOLESTEROL! Nice find.
