Hi everyone! Sorry for posting a pic of a cake on here, but I'm an aspiring baker and I just made my first wedding cake this weekend. I'm kinda proud of it, so I wanted to share it on here :)

    Good job! I like that the bride did color instead of just a white cake. I've done several wedding cakes. People don't realize how much time goes into making a cake like this. Keeep up the good work.

    I also am an aspiring baker- I haven't sold anything, just make stuff for family. I found that trying to lose weight makes it so hard for me to practice...haha... Does it make it any harder for you?

    I hope you don't mind but here's a picture of my first tiered cake. My daughter's birthday last April- the theme was The Very Hungry Caterpillar:

    It's vanilla cake with raspberry filling and vanilla buttercream.

    Was a pain in the butt to make, but it was worth it as soon as the bride's face lit up when she saw it

    Great job!

    My mom does cakes. Wanted to do it as a business out of her house but didn't want to have to build a second kitchen in order to do so, so she gets the word out by word of mouth. She's done some really super fancy stuff. Always amazes me when people can do cakes like that! I've tried a couple times, but it never went over so well :laugh:
