So I wrote this list out and its been pretty motivating for me. It's been really good to look at when I am having a bad day, or just want to eat foods that I know do not fit in with my new healthy lifestyle. It also gives me mini goals to aspire towards:happy: It will be so nice to cross off each one!

    That is a great way to look at it. The scale on a weekly basis doesn't seem to add up to much, but put it on paper like that and it really shows what hard work and dedication can do.

    Just don't discourage if you have a couple of bad weeks and the scale is stubborn. It is all a matter of perspective! :smile:

    You must be reading my mind lol. I have 3 sets on my fridge. One if I lose 4 lbs a month, one for 5 lbs month and one for 6 bs a month. When I have the urge to slack I look at them and it helps keep me on track! I can decide if I want to slow my weight loss or speed it up and I can see where I will be in the future depending on my decisions today.

    That is a great idea...I may make a list for myself and hang it on my fridge...maybe make a copy for my gym bag too!

    I hear that! Once I hit 160 I was lucky to lose evn 1/2 lb a week! Now I feel great when I lose 1 lb a month:grumble: :ohwell:

    that is an awesome way to look at it, to break it down so it's not so overwhelming. This is what I am doing this time around & I've seen such a difference. I am focusing on the 2 lbs a week instead of my ultimate goal thus not so overwhelemed

    03/30/09=250lbs
    05/04/09=240lbs
    06/08/09=230lbs
    07/13/09=220lbs
    08/17/09=210lbs
    09/21/09=200lbs
    10/26/09=190lbs
    11/30/09=180lbs

    Lowest week I have had is three pounds so looking at it from a two pound a week rate...I am looking forward to next november lol

    LOL you should see my Excel spreadsheet. I tend to obsess the details. It DOES help to have it written down. Great goals!
