help with ab work!

When im doing crunches and sit ups etc, i can tighten my tummy and pull it right in but when i go forward it isnt sticking out but it isnt as sucked in, how can i keep my tummy sucked in and tight while breathing lol. This probably sounds stupid but i find it hard. I think i am doing it right as im keeping it in as much as i can but i dont get burning abs when working out! :frown:

I try and think about it as me having my belly button try to hold hands with the floor,if that makes any sense.You can still keep your abs tight while breathing,you just have to get use to it and keep practicing at hit0
