1st 5K, what to wear

I usually walk in my blue jean shorts, They're the only shorts I really own except for a few pair of shorter shorts, that I don't like because of my thigh size (they ride up my thighs) So what kind of shorts are the best? my preferred short length is just above the knees and that aren't going to cost me over $25

    I don't run in shorts because they "ride" up. I wear running pants.

    I like loose fitting capris because they don't ride up and they keep me cooler than pants. Adidas and champion make some loose styles that aren't tight on the legs and are very comfortable.

    Champion (I get mine at Target), has very affordable capris and "pedal-pusher"/burmuda shorts. Good luck with your 1st 5k! They are so much fun!

    Target has some good deals, I prefer fitted capris as long as the weather cooperates.

    I like a capri style athletic pant. Walmart caries a line of Danskins that are only about $13.
