Have you ever felt like throwing in the towel? Not because this weight loss journey wasn't working, but because your personal like was like a roller coaster ride! Today I really found myself in the most akward situation. I felt hopeless and abandoned. Worse thing about feeling this way is my children saw me like this. LIFE just got the best of me and it showed. I just could not hold it in anymore and it showed! Now I know I was just in a funk and I pulled it together but I almost threw in the towel!

Hey, one of the best things you can do for your children is show them it's okay to feel all your emotions - anger, sadness, joy etc. and show them how to best deal with these emotions. You may even want to talk to them about your meltdown and explain how you were feeling and that it wasn't anything to do with them.
As the old R.E.M. song goes 'everybody hurts, sometimes'. Life sucks sometimes, sometimes you have an off day, or week or month... but that's as normal as the good times.
Well done for picking yourself up. You've done an amazing job to lose so much weight so far. Be kind to yourself and allow yourself to feel you feelings and deal with them.
Good luck on your journey!0 -
I felt like that last Sunday, though my kids didn't "see" it. The feelings, though.......yep.
The good news is that Monday I felt a lot better.0 -
I felt and still feeling like that....as much as I'm seeing that I'm losing weight and my clothes are fitting better, my negative emotions is trying to get the best of me... But what are my options??? Either to give up, throw the towel, or keep fighting for me! If I throw the towel I will always be miserable...but if I continue in the fight I know I will meet a happier me... So, what do I want? What do you want?? You either flight or fight...well I am fighting to beat these negative thoughts and become my own weight loss success!0

I have moments like that as well fortunately my kids are older (19 & 23) and they understand. I just usually need am emotional release. However, I've learned to not hold anything in and most importantly I've learned the power of NO! I am not super women neither will I pretend or try to be. I have started having more "ME" time and not everybody before me. Again my kids are older and are temporaly visiting.
You realized what was going on and shook it off. So you got the better of it. Guess what your human, it happens.
You are on a journey to greatness, slow downs and pot holes are on this journey. You have taken the first steps and that's proof you already have the VICTORY!!0 -
