Hi everyone. My name is Amanda and I am new to this website. A friend at work suggested I try it out and so far its been pretty cool. I have already lost 15lbs. But I still have many more to go.

I am a type 2 diabetic. Doc said if I lose enough weight, I can stop taking shots and controll my diabetes with diet and exercise alone. This is my number one goal!!

My weakness right now are exercise and emotional eating. I work all day and have my boys at night. We get home everyday around 6:00 pm. Not a bad time, but after dinner and homework it seems the night is gone and its time for bed. So, I have come up with a couple of solutions. 1) There is a walking trail at work. Utilize it. I don't have to go all Rambo, but walking some is better than none. 2) Utilize my crockpot more. Then dinner will be ready and the boys and I can play outside before homework. Any other suggestions? I will probably do a little of both. As far as being an emotional eater, I really have no ideal how to controll it. I am really watching when I get so emotional I want to eat. And I bought some gum to help keep my mind off of eating. But I don't know what else to do.

I am excited about this new adventure in my life. Pretty soon I am going to be "one hot mama!"
