Gotta Question:

Now I know this isn't necessarily about weight loss or gain, but I could use some opinions here : I think I might be pregnant. My breasts have been sensitive for 2 weeks, I'm tired as all get out, crying over stupid things and sometimes for no reason at all, I have been getting nauseous, eating weird things, I do have slight cramping, and CANNOT stand the smell of Chinese food. I took a pregnancy test (EPT Digital) and it came out negative. Now my question is, could I have taken the test too early and gotten a false negative, if so how long should I wait to take it again? Or should I just take the negative as what it is?

False negatives can happen to any test.

A false negative test happened to me. Take another one in about 2 weeks or so. If it's still negative and you have symptoms go see a dr for a blood test.

Yes, false negatives happen, no matter what the test makers say. I had lower levels of the hormones and they just didn't show up as soon as they normally do. I even had false negative blood tests at the doctors and had to convince them to retest a month later. I knew I was pregnant but I was five MONTHS before I convinced my doctor. Then he was sure I was six weeks, but 3.5 months later a 7 pounder was born.

You know your body. The test does not.

Those are also all PMS type of symptoms. Wait a day or two, then take another test if you are late.

If you have missed your cycle on top of all these other symptoms, I would go see your doctor. I have seen that show "I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant" and all of those woman failed pregnancy tests. See a professtional for your health, and for the baby's health, if you are indeed pregnanat.

Definitely go to the doctor, it's better to be safe than sorry in both your and the fetus' health. And you'll have peace of mind.

Okay cool. What I was reading was basically saying that false negatives are not common. I did buy a two pack and was going to wait a little longer and take the other one, Thank all of you for responding!! I really appreciate it. I actually haven't had my cycle, but I think that it because of working out stress and weight loss, I am on BC but I have been slack on remembering to take it. I didn't start getting any of these symptoms until a week and a half of spending a week with my boyfriend.
