Hi,
I am new to the site, My husband's Aunt suggested I use this site to assist me in my battle of weight.
We just celebrated our son's 3rd birthday. I was able to loose some of the weight I gained from him but then last summer we decided it was time to quit smoking.
I quiet smoking 1 year and 9 weeks ago, and gained all the weight back and then some. I am the heaviest I have ever been.
The other weekend, my son asked me "Mom, why are you so big?". My heart melt.
I am doing a few different things to assist me in my weight loss:
1) slimfast meal replacement for breakfast and lunch (shake for breakfast, bar for lunch)
2) healthy snacks 3 time a day
then I eat the same meal as my family but with moderation and calorie count in mind.
3) I am limiting myself to 1200 calories per day
4) Ripped in 30 with Jillian Michael - I am on week one (day 3).
I am hoping to find other people in the same battle, the last thing I want to do it turn back to the cigarettes or give up on my diet. This weekend has been hard - between my son's birthday party and thanksgiving (all in the same weekend). The treats, sweets and unhealthy foods have been consistently around me. But I have not cheated yet.
Anyone else attempting the same type of plan that I am doing??

You can do it... It's my first day back since two weeks. I fell off the first time but I'm focused now...0

I have tried Slimfast as a meal replacement and I never quite felt satisfied with it.
Recently I tried GNC Total Lean Shake (Blueberry and Cream is my favorite) and it was very tasty and I did not feel snacky after. It is designed to be a complete meal replacement.0 -
I had to dl the bar with lunch because the shake wasn't enough, but so far with the snacks I am doing ok, but these turkey dinners and the home made deserts my family makes have been hard to avoid!
The snack bars I bought are pretty good, feel like I am having a treat with only 100 calaries... great option for me to turn to atleast it made me feel like I am not missing out on as much.0
