I forgot to eat my exercise calories!

I was under my calories by 495 yesterday, got on the scale this morning, to find I've put a pound on!
I can't believe I completely forgot the golden rule of eating most off if not all my calories! :grumble:
I feel like such an idiot - the amount of times I've warned people not to do this, and I go doing it myself! :explode:
So please, all those out there that think they can lose weight by NOT eating your exercise calories, let me be a lesson to you - IT AINT WORTH IT
Today, I have planned my meals so that I only have 28 calories left, but...that's without any exercise, I could either have a lazy day today - as still off work until Wednesdsay, OR I could do exercise and then stare at the fridge, freezer and cupboards not knowing what in the world to eat.

Tell you what though, I'm amazed at myself, had a very stressful day yesterday and did not even think of comfort eating - now that's a bonus :drinker:0

Hey, Jackie. So, I'm new to this. The golden rule is to always eat your exercise calories? As in the extra calories I earn from working out? My question is this then...what if I work out late at night?(I often work out 11:30pm or later) Should I eat after the gym that late at night, or not? OR should I eat something before the gym in anticipation of burning off those calories? Hmmm...so much to learn!0

Oh, by the way...CONGRATS on not comfort eating! That's a tough one somtimes :frown:0

It's best to eat before you go to the gym, you're right, there is a lot to learn, but you'll get there - we all have to start somewhere :flowerforyou:0 -

I lost 6lbsw in my first week - water weight plus the change from eating junk food to healthy - its a lot for your body to adjust to.
As for eating all the calories, personally, I think you can get away with say 100 calories left, but not as many as I had :blushing: Seems to have had the opposite effect. Plenty of people on here warned me of not eating my exercise calories, as you put your body into starvation mode - and I think I've proved that, all the work I did yesterday, then didn't eat my extra calories amounted to my body storing the calories I did eat as fat :grumble:0 -

Thank you happenstance82 :flowerforyou:
I must admit, I never thought I would combat that one, but hey, I did - without even giving it a second thought
Just wanna combat not losing again now :flowerforyou:0
