Hello fellow MFP,
I am finally fed up I have been doing so well, within the calories, exercising . . . On friday I went to get my wisdom teeth out and have been having green tea, water, jello, saltines, soup broth and this morning really soggy mini wheats. I weighed in and gained 3 lbs :grumble: I am totally stumped!?:explode:
anyone else have this problem?

When I had my wisdom teeth out at 16, I actually ended up losing 20 lb, but I didn't weight myself until like a few months later when the clothes were drooping. Right now, just concentrate on feeling better. Sometimes the pain medication, plus the salt intake, plus the lack of inactivity and anesthesia can wreak havoc on your body. Give yourself a break for the week from the scale and maybe revisit it next week?0

Are you taking any pain pills? That might be part of it. Also, if you are not up and around maybe your metabolism slowed down. I don't know, that sounds weird to me. Sorry to hear that. Maybe your body is just faking you out for putting it through so much pain....:laugh:0

If I were you I would just ignore the weight loss. Let your body heal first!
I know because I pushed too hard, and a week after my extraction I was in the emergency room with one side all infected.... If you have a juicer , make it your new best friend!!
Other then that, don't worry, you sound very aware of what to eat, so you should also be aware that your body needs to be fixing itself. Take it easy.....and good luck!:flowerforyou:0
