Do some planning...think about what you will order, add up the calories...and BURN THE CALORIES FIRST. If your burger is 500 calories, do a 500 calories worth of workout before you even smell that meal. Half way through your workout, I bet you will not want anything fried ever again and curse the day you ate that other burger last week!!!!!!

Huh? Why? Fried food and burgers are awesome, and I have no problems fitting it into my calorie goals. I also have no problems working out hard.

Ultimately it will come down to quality of food, not just quantity. As you get closer, your body may not lose the weight even if you're within calories and are still eating fast foods on a regular basis. Every now and then is okay but don't make a habit of it. It's still processed and not as good for your just because it's fake - fried or not.

I love me a double cheeseburger every now and then, so no judging here!

Not trying to start anything, but what does his body have to do with the quality of his posts?
EDIT: Unless of course you are joking, in which case I withdraw my statement :)

Who said anything about fast food? The OP talked about burgers. You are allowed to make burgers at home, and you can make them out of anything you want. High calorie does not automatically mean it's bad.

Also, done properly, at home, frying is a very healthy way of cooking. Properly fried food doesn't absorb any oil from the frying process, and not everything fried needs to be coated in thick batter.

I eat like that. If you can account for the calories, then you can maintain/lose weight.

Funny how people always question other peoples opinion which leads to little arguments.

i like this idea of exercising, i think just doing that in general helps you to keep on track , at least it helps me, my appetite is always reduced after working out

Well on here there's a lot of misinformation on how weight loss and health actually works. When a thread like this comes up, the people who do research, study and know the truth should post it so that many myths can be dispelled.

Some people feel it's their civic duty to point out any remote flaws in your idea, or find exceptions that they feel make your idea somehow invalid.... as if they have ALL the answers.

Everyone uses different methods for inspiration, motivation, discipline, and progress, and there are no perfect answers.

You had a perfectly good idea.

I've found this to be very true for me, personally. Now that I've lost a lot of weight and body fat, and am working on my muscle tone, WHAT I eat is critical, and not just eating a certain amt. of calories, but making sure that those calories that I eat, are quality calories. There is truth in the "you are what you eat" statement.
