Hi
just started on here and really hoping to stick with it and lose weight. I had a serious back injury and due to being immobile for 18 months, stacked on the weight. Now looking to shed it but need some serious support and good humour to get me going. Would love some moral support as I attempt to lose weight but keep my humour ;-)

Hey, good luck. This is a great site. Just start easy and keep at it. Exercise is the greatest thing in the world. I love hiking, biking, some running, and any outdoor activity. This site has worked great for keeping track of calories. Add me as a friend if you like. I try to keep everything I do fun!!0

New to this as well. Sorry to hear about your injury... good luck on your journey through a healthy lifestyle change. I am 45, have 60 lbs to lose. Lost 7, got all excited then the scale shows 1.5 lb gain. Not sure if I am eating enough calories... crazy I know. I hear about starvation mode so not sure if my body is doing that or what. Still learning more all the time. thought I had this figured out, but not yet. It is a day to day thing.... make healthy choices, think about food as fuel (for now) once I get the weight off maybe I can consider a treat now and then but for now it puts me into a sugar craving so I am like a carb addict and have to just say no friend me if you like.

Hello and welcome. I have been with this for a while now and plan on being around for a long time to come. I have been on many "diets" throughout my life and everyhting worked for a while. Eating the way I do now is something I have to do for the rest of my life. No 10 day fads. Feel free to add me if you like.0

Thanks, I know exactly what you mean. You diet and think your doing right, then the scales tell you differently lol ... just the fact I have actually signed up to this forum and posted tells me I am serious about doing this ... thanks for the support ;-)0
