Restrictive or not so restrictive....

Today I was doing some reflective thinking about my recent dieting... lack of dieting... tracking... lack of tracking... not so healthy eating...

I have concluded....

That I need restriction! Now I'm not saying I'm going to go drastic and start cutting out food groups or banishing foods from my life for good... However... I feel since I'm only counting calories that I have to much freedom... I know that may sound a bit silly, but having the freedom to eat what I want is what has got me to over 270lbs :embarassed: I have loss close to 30lbs but I don't actually feel any healthier... I'm still eating what I want just less of it... or less often... or adding more exercise to compensate....

My goal was to not only lose the weight but to also get healthier.... I want to be healthy and lead a healthy lifestyle... I want to go clean... I need to detox my household and get rid of all the processed stuff... I need to figure out the best way for me to eat and live... not just lose weight... not eat the same processed garbage I've ate for 28yrs... but to purify my temple...

Maybe this should have been a blog instead of a thread since you don't want/need any input??

I am the same way, I needed something more restrictive, something that will tell me what to do.

I started the 17 day diet and it tells you what you should be eating and from what food groups. I have been doing really well on it. Maybe you can take a look at it? Check out their page on facebook!

I too need restriction. As long as I log what I eat, I think about what I eat. Whether it's McDonald's or a gluttonous home cooked meal, if I log it, I feel more conscious of what I put in my body. And likely eat less or plan my calories better for the day if I know I want to splurge on one meal.

Where does she say she doesn't want input?
