Has anyone tried the Special K diet and been successful with it?

I eat the special K crisp as a snack once in a while. Very expensive mini poptarts. Not worth it. I won't buy them again.

I love Special K, and eat a lot of their products. I have never tried the Special K challenge.

I'd much rather eat a low calorie diet comprised of varied food with nutritional value. I suppose it's a good idea if you're lazy, though - it's lower in calorie than most people are used to eating, and it's easy, even if it is ultra-processed.

seems like another fad diet where you can't possibly get all the vitamines and minerals and nutrients that you really need in a day. Reminds me of that told total commercial, "you have to eat x number of bowls of this cereal to get the daily nutritional values in one bowl of Total."

Me and my husband did this a LONG time ago when it first started and lost quite a bit of weight (quickly) but got bored and obviously here we are again trying to lose weight. I do have a friend that is doing it though and she has lost 19lbs in 5 weeks!

Their products aren't healthy, most of the cereal lacks fiber and the protein shakes are only sugar and calories with very little protein.
  • I don't think they're too expensive. When they're on sale at my super market, they're 4 boxes for $12.

However, the previous user is right, they're very thin (and not very filling) poptarts. But they're only 100 calories!

    I like the blueberry flavor.
