Weight Gain. Say WHAT?!?

I am quite confused. When I went to work last week I weighed 163.2 I was so proud of myself. I stuck with my diet. Logged and measured everything even the not so brilliant dietary choices. When I weighed in Sunday morning 166.0! EEK! What gives? I thought it was a constipation gain. Three days of backed up food can weight a lot, so I didn't log the gain.
The last two days I have been really focusing on increasing my water because I know I wasn't drinking enough at work. I am a nurse so when things are busy I am on my feet, don't get bathroom breaks, and never drink enough water. This morning 164.2. I feel discoraged because I havent been working out so I know it isn't muscle weight. I still feel bloated, fat, and lethargic. I am adding yogert today to see if that helps but I am begining to wonder if it isn't constipation after all.
Any one else go though something similar?

I feel your pain. My scale is constantly up and down and I am still trying to figure it out. This week, I blame it on PMS and water retention. So far I have tried- drinking more water, watching my sodium levels and my newest is eating more protein. I haven't been too successful but I want to hear what others have to say for advice...
good luck.
you can friend me- we have very similar goals!0 -
Have you been hitting the weights? Muscle weighs more than fat. Sometimes I'll gain weight but lose inches. Also, are you weighing yourself on the same scale at the same time everyday?0

Ok, I just peeked at your diary and I think you should adjust it to see your sodium levels as well. That might explain it. I also think some protein in the morning (not protein in things but actual protein like eggs or something) would help a ton.
Sometimes our bodies just do this, but it's not a huge gain and you can totally lose that right back off! Yogurt is a good idea because it will help your stomach and add in good proteins.0 -
My guess is it is your body adjusting to the extra water you have been drinking. Keep up with your good work and believe in the process.0

I like what you said about adding protein in the morning. I think I'll add some Go LEAN to my grocery list this week. That would also help up the fiber in my diet which has been lacking.0
