Are there any processed foods that you just have a hard time giving up? I am trying to eat more "clean".. I do eat healthy, but I've been told I need to cut out my Quaker Oats Weight Control Maple & Brown Sugar oatmeal.. with "1g of sugar" it's been said that it is processed. And I love lean cuisine meals!! What are some foods that weren't as "healthy" as you thought?!

I like some of the lean cuisine meals. I get the spa cuisine and add extra veggies to them to make them more filling.
I just bought the Quaker Oats lower sugar oatmeal. But it still has so much sugar it's hard to eat. I'll have to look for the weight control next time. Thanks.0 -
I can't cut out everything, life is just simply too short for that! Altho I have been giving clean eating a go. Just to see if I actually feel soo much better like some people claim
I guess for me its my cappuccino powder mixes. Only 60 calories, low sodium, but still not healthy. Eh need something delicious tho :]
Or pasta. Some claim that it is the complete enemy. I eat it daily though. 2 oz with some olive oil :] yum!0 -
Definitely Lean Cuisines! Also, deli meats and I didn't realize how high in sodium packaged hummus is!0

I agree!! Some deli meats can be so high in sodium! There's a few low sodium deli meats at Trader Joes that you can find such as Turkey and Ham!0 -

Ahhh, thank you! I love my deli sandwiches, but the sodium scared the bejeezus out of me!0 -
RE: Lean Cuisines...
Try Kashi meals - all organic and less processed
RE: Oatmeal
Plenty of organic ones out there - add some honey for flavor! Maybe even some cinnamon!
RE: Deli Meats
Organic /no preservatives have done wonders for me.
I am not supposed to have preservatives/artificial sugars/artificial dyes/etc for an illness and I've found some great options out there to replace my favorites. Still hate gum with sugar so I am having a hard time replacing that one!!!0 -
Why not just make real food in quantities for a whole week.
Steel cut oats in the crock pot - cooks overnight while you are asleep and is ready for the whole week long and all you have to do is just re-heat.
Instead of lean cuisines and other frankenfoods, just cook leftovers and have them the next day.0
