yo

this prolly a newbie question but...if u eat 2300 and u burn 500 by exercise..is the calories burnt in exercise must be replaced by consuming more calories ?

i mean incase u wanted to lose weight faster ( wich isnt my target ) just saying. isnt that a safe approach or THE CALORIES BURNT in exercise considered also a normal calorie wich must be replaced by food after u lost it to exercise?

thx for reading

In your example you've eaten 1800 net calories. If your target is 2300 then yes you would want to eat those extra 500.

On the other hand, some people do not eat back the exercise calories. It's up to you, just remember that you don't want your NET calories to go too low for your body's needs.

I think you're asking why this site adds your exercise calories back, correct? The reason is that when you set up your account, the site already accounts for the deficit you need in order to reach your goal weight loss per week. Therefore, exercise makes you go below that daily goal. So, it adds back in your exercise calories to keep you from going below a healthy calorie range for the day.

This site doesn't endorse any more than losing 2lbs/week, therefore if you do exercise and have your goal set at 2lbs a week, it encourages you to eat those calories to get back to the 2lbs/week level.

Everyone's metabolism is different. It's not as simple as giving you a blanket statement about calorie deficits you mustn't pass. It depends on the individual. Ultimately I'd say to just listen to your body. If you're feeling drained of energy, or are constantly hungry, you should probably be eating more. Keep an eye on the scales and see how much you're losing and adjust your diet accordingly.
