I met with a personal trainer yesterday and we're taking several days this week and next to devise a free weight program to help me tone up.

Yesterday we worked on abs and shoulders, because last week we worked on arms (biceps/triceps).

Oh my gosh... I woke up this morning and about cried. My abs are on FIRE!

Never in my life did I think I could do the ab coaster, but he had me using it yesterday and I can feel every muscle from the top of my abs to the lower screaming at me!

He also had me "planking" for 30 seconds. I didn't meet with him today, so I went back through and did the routine from last week and yesterday and attempted planking again. Got the 1st one done with ease, on the second and third round my whole entire body started shaking. :glasses: It was quite funny.

So, I'm curious to know if there are any other ab type workouts other than crunches, planks and ab coaster that you all do that are good at tightening/firming up?

the best way to tighten or firm that area up is a caloric deficit

exercisewise, squats, deadlifts, and weighted ab work seem to work well
