MFP pre-calculated calorie allotment

So I don't own a heart monitor and the machines at my gym don't have ones built in... so I've been using the MFP pre-calculated calorie allotment... and thoughts, cautions, or suggestions?

    ditto. I bought a HRM in August and it pooped out in October, I have not replaced it (needs a battery), and I continued to lose weight.
