OK, so I just got home and my DH left a big bag of Twizzlers out in the living room. I ate 4 (which is a serving for a so-not-worth-it 150 Cal). But now I want to eat the rest of them. They are one of my foods that I could eat until they're gone. Send me some will power, please. I am going to straight to the bathroom to brush my teeth so the tast is gone. The stupid thing is that I'm hungry and instead of eating a healthy fulfulling snack, I just wasted 150 Calories on TWIZZLERS!

  • Step away from the Twizzlers!!! Good idea to brush your teeth...DO NOT let those Twizzlers get the best of you!!!
  • Hang in there !!! I know exactly what you are going through. Next time try having some raspberry yougart in the house, tastes just as good, but you get alittle more bang for the buck.

throw them away! Or spit on them or something to make them unappetizing. I know what you are going through. I have nothing desirable in my house to eat, no chocolate, no candy that I would find appealing, however, i popped some popcorn, and saw that we had some mike and ikes, which usually just sit in my pantry, overlooked, because they don't tempt me at all. Not today...they sounded kind of good, so I saw the 23 pieces were a serving (140 calories),so I had a few, then had a few more with my popcorn, and that was really yummy. I ended up eating 2.5 servings of the darn candy I don't even care for to begin with, and wasted 350 calories! Don't do it! Lock those twizzlers away! Remember your goal! I don't know you, but I understand your dilemma. Good luck!
  • eek! i know how awful those tasty treats can be when they call to you! you're already on the right track by acknowledging your misstep and making yourself accountable for it! great idea to brush your teeth too! i know it's hard (because once you start you just cant stop - or at least that's how it is for me!) so hide the bag of twizzlers or toss them in the trash so they are no longer a hazard (sadly - i have been known to go scrounging through the trash bin looking for untainted treats...yes - truly pathetic! i actually have to cover things i throw away with coffee grounds or give them a spray of windex just so that i'll keep my hands off!)...so you see - you're not as bad off as you think! and don't let your boo-boo ruin your day...you can start fresh right now!!!!!! so put it behind you, learn from your mistake, and carry on! woo woo!!! :flowerforyou:

Thanks for the kick in the butt pep talk and the fellow feeling:smile: . I would LOVE to throw them away. But my DH bought them yesterday when we were grocery shopping. He joined me here this weekend and is doing good. But he gets 300 cal more than I do. So he was looking for an OK "treat" to have. I would feel so mean throwing them away when I know he's looking forward to "splurging" (w/in reason) on them. I just put them out of sight. Told myself, he wouldn't like me eating all his candy and I did brush my teeth:happy:

I am so glad to hear someone else with the trash diving problem, as pathetic as it sounds. I usually DUMP whatever it is in the trash so I can't just pick the bag out and eat what's in it, since it hasn't been tainted. I dump it completely out so it's amoung all the gross stuff.

I sneezed on the twizzlers. And I had pneumonia last week. It is in the best interest of you and your loved ones not to eat them.

Red Vines are less calories and you can eat 7 of them. I think ...7 for 140cal. Try those instead.

Oh yea...PUT THEM AWAY. OUt of sight out of mind and if not out of mind...go find something to do.
