Are there any out there? Have you found it hard to play and be healthy at the same time?
I'm a pretty avid player in my guild Damage, Inc. on Korialstrasz. I'm a raider three to four nights a week for three hours a night. I know when I first started doing this I was scared I wouldn't have time to workout and do homework and everything before raid time. I've pulled it off so far but I figured there is a support group for everything else... Why not WoW players?!?
If you want you can friend me just make sure you say your name and why you wanna be my friend or we can just chat in here!! I totally would love to meet some other gamers on the same journey

I absolutley love wow! lol.
I don't really find it hard to play and workout. Plus I go to college. And I always have time to play it So much fun!
So many characters too... lol0 -
It was extremely hard when I was hard-core raiding in WoW ... I had to take a step back and get my life on track and quit the game for a few years. Now I raid in RIFT (instead of WoW) but I joined a guild that had a raid schedule that didn't interfere with Zumba at the gym so its all good
One thing I did change was not bringing crap to mindlessly snack on while playing the game... I usually have a protein shake or I measure out some nuts or something...
It can be done..... but gaming is definitely condusive to gaining weight.0 -
I don't play WoW...but I do play Forsaken World (similar only free) and yeah...I just got in the habit of telling my guild when I was going to workout...and now when I don't go at the time I usually do, they ask me about it. There are surprisingly several gym rats in my guild!!0

Love the response! And all the girls! It's freaking awesome! My main is an 85 night elf survival hunter, but I've got a few alts that I've been leveling because it's just fun to do
I've definitely become much more time oriented and I get things done better than I used to since I have a schedule that I work around for it. In some ways it's helped LOL0 -
I used to raid with a restoration druid during Wrath of the Lich King and Burning Crusade... But quit shortly after Cataclysm.0

i played wow for about 2 years (80 undead lock, 80 belf hunter, 70 troll elf) and about a year and half ago I quit. in those two years of playing I gained about 40 lbs. I love the game, but it is like crack to me so I stay away now lol0

I played WoW for about 6 years...definitely contributed to my overall snacking lol.
But yeah, totally gonna play Old Republic when it comes out. I'm an assistant manager at Gamestop, and all of the managers in my district are gonna play!0 -
I am still hooked to that game LOL. I play casual though, so I can do what I want when I want (which sadly isn't often after kids, work, college, social life, and exercise LOL).) I have played off and on for 6 years now. My main is an 85 Undead Mage. Love my magey0

I played WoW for about 5 years, stopped right before I got pregnant. I found that it required WAY too much dedicated time and I did not want to dedicate playing that many hours. I definitely think I gained weight while playing since your sitting on your bum for all those hours while eating bad food (in my case! lol) I started back up casually while pregnant but I barley have time to keep up with my daily chores and activities I just can't find time to play. Durring my spare time there's other things I would rather use the computer for - like MFP! My hubby did go back to playing casually though. (raided LK with my 80 resto sham, and haven't done too much in cata)0

I've been playing WoW since the January after it was released. I don't seriously raid anymore, but I have lots of fun doing instances and achievements and working on alts. Currently I have 7 level 85 characters.... I haven't found it to hinder me at all while losing 80 pounds over the last two years. I actually find it distracting enough that I don't have the urge to snack.0
