In need a motivation

Options
I know I need to eat better...and I know I need to get motivated...and I NEED TO STOP MAKING EXCUSES.

Today, I am going to make a healthy grocery menu for the week. Then, I am going to schedule in my work outs. Then, I'm going to get off my tush and do it!

Spam me with your favorite websites for motivation or recipes. :)

Here goes nothing!

"Then, I'm going to get off my tush and do it! "

That's the only way to do it. There is no magic potion, and the only person that can motivate you is YOU! You either want to make this change or don't. Thinking about it isn't enough. Now support.....that we can help you with. You're off to great start being a part of this community!

This IS my favorite website for motivation lol! Try not to schedule workouts too far in advance. It makes it too easy to say "well, I planned on going tomorrow so it's okay if I skip today"

I make my meal plan out for the month on a big wall dry erase board and make my shopping lists for each week so I can only add odd and end stuff (laundry detergent and such) and make sure that there is one moderately healthy snack item on there each week so I have a small "junk" snack each day. My weakest time is about 3 in the afternoon so I'll have granola bars or a few hershey kisses handy. Something I cant eat too fast.

I just had my son 6 weeks ago so now I really need to get my butt in gear. I had lost 60lbs before I got pregnant and am not enjoying being big again. Good luck.

Just sent you a message with a website related to a book called, "How Bad Do You Want IT?" The digital book is free if you go to the website and send me an email for delivery. I'll delete the email once I send the book. I do it this way as to keep with the rules of "MFP" of no solicitation for other sites, etc. The book is meant to inspire and motivate. It talks of the steps and lessons that I learned through my own fitness journey of 154lb weight loss and regaining my life through the help of my daughter. If anyone else is interested, message me and I'll send you the link.

JUST DO IT!!! I find that I have to set a time for work outs, so at 6:30pm every day I get ready to head to our family gym...try to find something that is fun like ZUMBA or Water Aerobics...they are SUPER fun and don't feel like "work outs". If you are just starting to get in the groove again remember to start small and don't down play your achievments...it takes little steps, I mean come on, lets be real; you can't change YEARS of damage to a body in a couple of weeks...as for the healthy eating; I've made the change a couple of months ago and here's what I use:

    http://allrecipes.com/my/menus/planner.aspx
    http://www.diabetes.org/food-and-fitness/?utm_source=WWW&utm_medium=GlobalNavFF&utm_campaign=CON
    http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/healthy-recipes/NU00585
    http://www.kraftrecipes.com/home.aspx

I also recommend just typing what you're wanting in google and add healthy to it; I've found a lot of recipes that way...I hope this helps...and remember everyone struggles and fall; but it's the strong, determined people that get back up and start the trek again! :)

Thanks so much for all of the replies! I am going to dust off my turbo jam dvds and jillian michaels dvds. I have 4 kids in football and cheerleading, but I have a window of opportunity to get my exercise on before practice. Thanks for all the websites too!

You can do it! I try to post every day on something for 2 reasons. It helps remind me that I'm not the only one struggling with this on an everyday basis and aslo because if I'm typing, I'm not stuffing my face lol! Those recipe sites look absolutely amazing! I am so there!
