NSV: Small in comparison, but huge for me!

Good morning everyone,

I work in the type of office where we constantly eat. We eat doughnuts, Mcdonalds biscuits, bagels (every single friday), wing shindigs, etc. Today, my boss decides to bring in Krispy Kreme doughnuts. I've NEVER turned down a doughnut EVER!!! They were fresh and sweet and looked amazing. I was tempted, but then thought about how much work I put in the gym every single day and the amount of weight I want to lose and decided, 210 calories in 90 seconds(the amount of time it would have taken me to eat it ) wasn't worth it. So I simply got a cup of water and returned to my computer. It's the small battles like this that leads to the major victory!

You GO girl. My supervisor gave me a large box of Godiva truffles last week and when I first saw them I was like, "Dang... why'd he get me these??" But then I realized that I don't actually have to eat them all in one sitting! lol. It's good to remember we do in fact have strength and that temptation can be crushed. Thanks so much for sharing about your victory!

Very nice! Work place food days arethe toughest. The smell is everywhere and friends want you to just TRY one piece. Way to be strong.

I'm pretty sure bosses are spawns of Satan today, lol. They must be sucking up for Bosses Day next week.

    Congratulations on your win! :)

My office is the same way...tons of junk food all around. I don't touch the stuff! Way to be strong!

Just in case, I keep a bar of super dark Lindt 85% chocolate on hand to satisfy the need for a treat...one little square of chocolate is only 58 calories, has protein and fiber and only a single gram of sugar...all whole ingredients and is an antitoxidant!!! (it is one of my favorite secrets of success. lol). Makes me feel indulged...but in a healthy way. = )
