Counting Calories Makes me Binge!

Anyone else have this problem. Its like I get obsessed with food and I have to binge on crap for two days out of the week. I'm not counting anymore, just trying to cut out added sugar, grains, and eat more fruits and veggies....its still a bit of a struggle, but better for me than obsessing over every single bite.

    How can counting calories make you binge? I'd have thought it would have the opposite effect, as you can see in numbers how much you're eating!

    It's when you DONT count them that makes things spiral out of control, as you underestimate how much you are eating.
  • me too! I think about food way more when i have to write everything done and get so stressed out.

    I'm going to suggest that it's not the act of counting that is making you binge, it's what you are eating (or not eating, to be specific) when you are counting.

    Did you recently start counting and watching your diet? Just curious. My guess (which this is, entirely a guess) is that you went from a 2500+ kcal diet/day down to about 1200, and that sort of thing is just silly.

    But, I'm guessing since I don't have your history/dietary info.
