Hello, I was wondering if anyone on here has had sleep apnea and started getting better by losing weight. The doctor thinks I may have Sleep Apnea but I think its just because I'm about 55lbs overweight. I just think that by losing weight I'll start feeling better. Any thoughts would be great. Thanks

dude.. you sound just like me 3 weeks ago...

i went to the doctor for my tonsils and he said i might have sleep apnea... i am 50 lbs overweight as well. So thats when i decided to do this. 3 weeks later, i lost 13lbs and feeling better. I even did a sleep studdy but those sleep studies are the worst. I was with all these wires and you dont sleep comfortable at all. It sucked and i dont sleep that way.

Some people told me that losing weight will help it and it might just go away. Others have said it might not help. I hope that losing the weight will help me out.

Thats my hope too, I've lost 9lbs in 2 weeks and looking to drop about 55 more pounds. They did blood work and checked me for Diabetes and Thyroid and said I was good to go there. Been feeling sick a lot lately so hopefully losing weight will help.
