Just wondered if anyone knew of any foods that contain calories and carbs, but no fat or protein. Using up my fat and protein but struggling to use up my calories!!! Any help would be so appreciated. I am new to this site so its a bit trial and error at the minute.

I had that same problem. If you look around at people's diaries, some of them are viewable and you will see many different things that you can choose from to use calories. There's not a whole lot of non-protien foods, especially if they are fat free. Google will also direct you in ANY direction you need to go. Try looking up protien free food and fat free food. Good luck!

Don't worry if you go over on protein (MFP has it set pretty low). It's not a bad thing to be under on carbs either, especially if you're eating simple carbs (white foods). Honestly, you'd be better to eat more protein to get your calories in than to add carbs for calories sake. JMO. Without seeing your diary, it's hard to give any REAL advice.

Don't worry about going over on protein - the pre-programmed "limit" is very low and many people increase it manually. I think it's set to 15% and I personally have mine at 25% (and some people set theirs as high as 40%).

home page -> goals -> change goals -> custom and click continue. You can manually enter any value you want for nutrition, calories, exercise, etc. I changed my macronutrients to 50% carbs, 25% protein, 25% fat; increased fiber to 25g per day, and increased the sodium limit to 3000mg (I have low blood pressure).
  • awesome thanks a lot :D
