circuit training, general is how I logged before I bought a heart rate monitor :)

****ETA: This calculation came very close to what my heart rate monitor (polar ft7 with chest strap) calculated. It worked for me...

If it has a chest strap, it's probably pretty decent accuracy, if not....then...not so much.

I have the watch one also, and you have to set it according to your resting heart rate. What I did to set it to the lowest resting heart rate is I wore it to bed. I woke up every few hours, did the heart rate, then went back to sleep. What a difference that made!! I am doing 30DS also, on my 4th day today and yesterday I burned 190 calories. Before I wore it to bed, the 1st day I did the workout I it only calculated that I burned 89 calories. So just be sure you set your true resting heart rate.

    Hope that helps!!

It's accuracy isn't going to be too stellar.

did it give you calories burned or just your average HR?

If you gave you an average HR you can enter your info and HR into a calculation to get a pretty good estimate of calories burned.
use this to get an estimate, but instead of leaving V02Max at 0, try putting it in as 35, your cals burned will most likely be over estimated if you keep it at 0. http://www.braydenwm.com/calburn.htm

If you put V02Max at 0 it gives you the same as if you entered 60-65, which is quite high for most people so I would recommend entering 30-50 if you unsure of what yours is.
