In 1988, I had an Anatomy/Physiology test coming up that coincided with a vacation my wife and I had planned. I went to the professor and told him my Grandmother had dies (she was 1200 miles away) and asked if I could make up the test after the funeral. He allowed it. I went on vacation. I got back on a Saturday. Sunday my parents called to tell me my Grandmother had died. I couldn't go to the funeral and I couldn't mention it to anyone in class. Learned my lesson.

We have a friend who is one of those "had it better/worse, did it first, knows everything" type people AND he's a big-time liar. Most of the time when he opens his mouth we all tune him out. This is the best lie he ever told though: Another friend (Brett), Liar, and a couple other guys were at our favorite bar and Brett begins to tell the others about this article he had just read in a magazine about a professional athelete. The story was all heart warming, telling about the things this athelete did for his neighbors and other community good deads. About an hour later, more people arrive at the bar and Liar begins to relay the story Brett had told earlier. Except Liar's version included that his very own father lived in said neighborhood and was friends with pro athelete and also helped out with all the charitible events. Brett and the others didn't know what to do except laugh. They didn't even call Liar out on what he had done but I guess it doesn't matter since everyone knows he was lying in the first place.

I worked with this woman that lied ALL the time with a straight face! Well, she didn't come to work for a few days. I called her to find out what was going on. The woman on the phone sounds JUST LIKE HER! But she says she's the woman's mother. So after I have said stop playing several times, I go along with it. I ask her where her daughter is, she says she's in the mental hospital! She had a nervous breakdown! I called the woman's son and he says my mother is such a liar. She's not in the hospital. Not 10 minutes later, the woman calls me and she tells me she's in the psych ward and they let her use the phone and smoke a cigarette! She lied like that to our supervisor all the time to get out of work. And usually she would come to work and tell me she was lying, but with this story she stuck to it. I told her I viewed her as entertainment. That i didn't believe a word she said unless I could see it for myself! Well, that was years ago. We've kept in touch. She told me I was a good friend to her because I never let her get away with anything and I always made her tell the truth! Smh. :noway:

I had this co-worker who was shall we say simple. She told our staffing coordinator that she had to take a week off to have her wisdom teeth pulled and then posted to facebook how she was going to Hawii with pictures. The best one was when she had a tummy tuck (she told me she was going to) and then told everyone how she had a stomach virus and that made her lose the weight in 4 weeks. lol

I got one for ya....my OWN MOTHER is a liar. We haven't spoken in years, but she still keeps in touch with my sister. Well in 2002 I got a divorce (no kids) and she tells my sister "well it's a good thing she's never having kids....cause you know...she's half black"

WTF? I'm not, but who would care if I was!!!! She said that like it's a bad thing...AND if it IS such a bad thing she doesn't seem to feel bad that AS MY MOTHER...she'd have a hand in CREATING this half black person!?!?

Sheesh! At the time I hadn't had kids cause I hadn't found mr. right (gasp, you mean I made it out of my teens AND 20's before having kids...in my family it's unheard of)

I'm such a "black" sheep in my family.....but whatever!

I was living with my boyfriend. He went to Chicago for a week. He didn't call me (before cell phones) . When he returned I asked him why he hadn't called or returned my calls. His answer? "All the phones were turned off."






But really......his ex-wife had met up with him in Chicago.

I used to work with a lady that used to always lie to get off work. It was either her asthma acting up or something wrong with her kids. Well she decided to say her grandmother had passed away and you know when u return to work you have to bring and obituary back. She actually made up one by this time we all knows she lies so my manager called the actual funeral home which they normally don't do. They had no idea who the lady was so when the manager asked her about it she said well they moved the body to another funeral home she'll go home and get the paper work. We never saw her again she didn't come back. I worked with her for about 3 months in that time she said she had a double degree, dated a rapper, had a cousin play in the nba, was an accountant but couldn't figure out interest on a loan, worked for Halburton but quit, said she really didn't need to work but she need a w-2 for tax purposes...uggg u name it she said it...we used to all sit around and talk about her lies...

sounds like an ex coworker of mine also here at railroad lol... he would lie to get off always around his offdays and it would be something tragic each time, his grandmom died, wife was sick etc well the one that got him fired was he said his 24 yr ol daughter died. they made him come back to work a few days later because they saw a pattern so he gets to work he's acting all distraught and "has" to leave work. well the corporate folks looked into this found where the daughter should have been working and surprise found her there, they showed her the obituary her father made for her and her mouth dropped... i think what really over did it for him was that he said that he didnt have money to bury her so he had to dig the grave himself...... smh

Wow. o_o Im speechless. one of my family members lied about an illness for 20 years of something.

my ex boyfriend lied about every-little-thing...like he would smell like cigarettes and alcohol and claim he was studying. <_< he even lied about his major when we met. <_<
