I've seen this mentioned a few times but not sure what kinds of foods it refers to exactly.. is it just not eating processed and junk foods or is there more to it?

I asked the same thing the other day ... its just eating unprocessed food, wholegrains, pulses, loads of fresh plain fruit and veg. As close to natural as possible ...keeping sodium fats etc and sugars down. bit of a detox style eating.

I think you are on the right path. To me (and I'm definitely no expert) it's what you said AND eating anything from the ground and/or an animal, (mother nature) everything completely unprocessed.

I guess if you take it a step further, all organic as well. No spray pesticides on fruit/veggies, free range chicken, no meds in beef etc.

    no soda, processed sugar, etc.

IMHO clean eating is staying away from processed, added sugar/sodium, manufactured foods.

So natural foods, veg, fruit, meat, fish, nuts, grains that has not been added to.

Things like cheese/bread have been processed, this is only an example.
