Hi,

I joined MFP about a week ago, becauese i bought an iphone and really wanted a food diary app for my phone that would sync with my online one. I have been using another site for the past 3 months, but it doesnt have an iphone app and has a few other things i dont like so i thought it was time for a change. I like MFP much better.

For the first month after i started my health kick i was doing really well and i lost a lot of weight fast. I was trying to use my August holiday as motivation to get in shape (skiing trip). but on holidays since i was working so hard all day skiing i ended up going way off track with my eating and gorged on a lot of food. after that i was up down, being on my calories for a week then a little bit over then back ok then a little bit over. I completely stopped exercising too. I was struggling heaps with cravings, went on a two week binge that was just insane, put on a kilo and a half (3lb) and now ive jumped back in on the healthy eating. I spent a week trying to look at motivational tips and working out why id lost my motivation and how to get it back. i think im staring to get my motivatin back by looking at where i can be in a year, and ive finally started exercising again (well once so far, yesterday). the last week ive been very up and down, but i love on MFP how i can "complete" my day and look at how i would be doing if every day was the same. THats helping me alot to try and stay under my calories.

i havent really had much support up to this point. i live with my mum and shes really supportive, but she also LOVES buying my "treats" when ever sh goes for grocceries or goes away, so i end up with a lot of temptations. i dont want to tell her off and upset her, and alot of stuff she buys for u s to share, and as much as id like her to eat healthy too its her life and her house and she can have whatever she wants to eat.

My partner is really unhappy with his weight and ive been encouraging him to eat healthier, but it hasnt gotten me very far, and he still suggest takeaway a lot for dinner. he does have a diet plan he wants to start though so that should change.

i didnt really think the MFP friendship section was "for me" but ive realised i need a bit of help keeping motivated and sticking to my weightloss.

Well thats my life story anyway lol...
