Hi all--I just signed up earlier today. I have done weight watchers & sparkpeople before but I have a really hard time staying on the wagon. I would love to meet some new friends, especially those who are working moms. I don't exactly have a plan of action yet. Any words of wisdom for getting started?

I started by just logging my food. The more I fiddled with the website the more I wanted to do to look better. Right now Im just logging my food (which makes me watch what I eat I dont want to log tons of junk food) and hula hooping for ten minutes at a time a few times a day. Good luck!0

Words of wisdom; Just get started. You will find your groove, but the first step has already been taken. Now all you have to do is keep it going.
Welcome and best of luck in your journey.0 -

Try your best at logging... I think that the food diary is really nice and extensive. That is what got me started, and then I started adding in my workouts Have fun with it! The people on here are the best and super motivational0

Hi mom2lyla! Welcome to mfp :-) I've also done sparkpeople, but i like this site so much better because people are SOOOO much more supportive on this site! Tracking the food is also much easier on this site. Thats been key for me- making sure I'm staying within my caloric range and also helps keep me accountable.0

log all of your calories, eat breakfast everyday (most important meal) and drink your water. exercise as your physically able to.
Oh and most important trust that God has given you everything you need to do it. I believe in you, He believes in you..........do you believe in you?
PS. welcome to the most amazing site I've ever found.
if you'd like please feel free to add me as a mfp friend0 -
Thank you all so much for your kind replies. I will take you up on the advice and just do it--in the morning I begin logging everything that passes my lips. I'm so nervous and yet excited. Looking forward to see just what I'm capable of.0
