Im kind of confusing myself with what Ive been wondering lately, and I hope I can get some feedback
Well basically I workout in the mornings before Ive eaten anything because a doctor told me that if you do that you are burning fat from your fat reserves which is def what I need to do. I get that, but then I kinda feel guilty when I eat the rest of the day, even when its healthy. I feel like Im eating back those exercised cals. Whats your take on this? Any Advice??

I do a couple of early morning sessions a week (like 5am) before breakfast.
You would still have burned fat from reserves even if you eat later and probably moving about during day you will burn off what you eat rest of day, as don't forget your body is burning calories keeping your heart, lungs and everything working if you are just sat watching telly. Do you know your BMR?
Mine's in the 1400's I think so even if I do nothing and lie in bed watching telly all day my body will burn about 1450 cals off... plus whatever you burned off when you exercised before eating anything?0 -
I exercise in the morning not because it's "better" for me, or anything like that, it's because it's the only time I can AND I'm a morning person... I rarely exercise at night, I'm not a night person at all. My friend, on the other hand, hates morning and gets her best workout done in the evenings - it's entirely your own makeup and doing... if you HATE mornings, you're going to be slow and not get the best out of a workout, I reckon.0

It certainly is confusing at times isn't it? I work out in the AM and sometimes in the evening as well. My favorite of the 2 is the AM. However, I always eat within an hour of waking and its usally carbs. I understood that the carbs give me fuel for a better work out and get my medabolic rate up for the day. My next snack/meal I have is something with protein for my muscles to help repair them after the work out and I also find it helps with soreness if I do a hard core work out. If thats the case I usually have tuna etc within the hour of working out. Most of the times that workout is in the evenings.
Hope this helps! It works well for me.0 -
The best time to exercise is when you have the time. I think you are over thinking things.0
