Hi, I'm a 24 year old first time mom! My son is almost 4 months old, and I've actually gained weight since having him... boo!
I used to be very over weight in high school and then in college dropped 50lbs. I'm 5'1" and my comfortable weight zone is about 110-105lbs. I look lean but not too skinny at that weight, and I find myself to feel the best when I'm there.
During my pregnancy I gained a ton of weight due to gestational diabetes. I went from 110 lbs to 190 lbs! Yikes. I ended up having a c-section and at times I get horrible pains when I try to exercise too much (I'm not one who likes to take things slow, I'm more of an all or nothing type.)
I've been sedentary, and my son is very clingy and needy due to severe acid reflux, so I find myself cuddling on the couch with him wayy too often. I try to take regular walks with him but my energy and motivation is just not there. I'm hoping that joining here will help me find some motivation.

My name is Shawna and I in the Air Force. I have a beautiful daughter who is 21 months old and an amazing husband!
We live in Arizona and I am becoming an avid runner. I am training for my first half marathon and simultaneously my first Tri-athlon.
I am loving the weight loss and have already lost 9 pounds. I work out twice a day, five days a week and do my long runs on Saturdays.
I look forward to hearing all of your success stories!0 -
hey, I gained 90 pounds during my first pregnancy so I totally understand how you feel!!!! I lost 60 of it then had another baby only gained 45 but I had to start all over. It is hard to get into a routine with a new baby. when you feel like the baby has a good sleep pattern pick a time to start exercising a few days a week to start. Now my kids are 2 and 5 I get up at 4am have my coffee and then workout out before they wake up and it is time to get ready for work. It was hard to get into this schedule but I am now 20 pounds under pre pregnancy!
feel free to friend me!!0
