    I also have hypothyroidism. I take 180 twice daily of armour thyroid. I have found that if I don't take my meds, I GAIN weight. The only thing that keeps me going is my medicine.

    My Pharmacist told me that it's very important to take my thyroid meds on a completely empty stomach and to not eat for at least an hour after I take them. She said the meds attach to fats and pass right through the system if you have food in you. If the stomach is empty they are absorbed into the system and will actually be used.
