I wonder if you're not eating enough calories? Or maybe you have hit a plateau and need to change up your routine?
Are you drinking enough water?0 -
How close are you to where you are supposed to be for your age and height?0

I am in the same boat. Upped my excerise and have adjusted my calories to my new weight and still the weight did not come off. I bounce around a lot (back and forth between two pounds) so I only record my weight once a week. After three weeks in September I finally lost 1.2 pounds, but since mid-September I haven't lost any weight. I am just hoping that I will see a loss soon. My friend says I don't drink enough water (which I often forget to record) so I have tried to increase my liquid intake as well as start measuring my foods more precisely.0

I've heard good things about zigzagging calories breaking a plateau.

I am about 40 pounds from my goal. I drink lots of water. I have a variety of workouts. I don't eat the same thing all the time. I've hit a wall.0

Hey!! I wonder if your not getting enough calories? ALSO. You might be losin weight but you could be losing inches. Muscle is heavier and smaller than fat. Meaning that you're likely to get smaller but stay the same weight. People cant see your weight but can see inches. For example. A person could be 150 pounds and look out of shape and then you could have a person who is also 150 pounds but looks tight and amazing from dropping inches. The scale will stay the same but you will be dropping inches. Wish is GREAT!! A person scale could be the same for like a month or two but they could have lost 9 inches. Sometimes a scale is not always the best thing to go by.. Also. I know you do zumba and i know your work out hard during it. But work a little harder really push yourslef during the cardio middle part. Come stand more by me and i will push you more. We will get you to leave there in sweat. I can explain more of the moves to you for a better workout. that will also get you to drop the inchies and weight You are doing GREAT!! Keep up the good work!! You look great!0

I have been doing Zumba and I walk 4 miles when I don't have Zumba. Both are an hour.0

If nothing's moving, then your body has just adjusted. It's time to switch it up. You'll have to lower your calories again, and up your workout intensities (up the weights, run faster, etc.). Weigh yourself in a week, and if nothing budges again, then you'll have to adjust again. Everyone's body is different, and it's the most frustrating when you can't figure it out. So get in tune with yours, and don't compare to others & what they can/can't do to get results. One last area: make sure your carbs aren't too high. They make you retain the most water. If you're feeling bloaty at all, it's probably because your carbs are too high. Try making sure you're only getting whole grains, and then only having them a few times a day. After about a week, you'll drop that bloaty water weight.0

If you're only doing Zumba & walking, then that's great for your heart/lungs (cardio), but to lose weight you also REALLY need to do weights a few times a week. You'll seriously see weight start dropping off after about 2 weeks (and SEE muscles forming in your body- it's quite amazing)! My favorite is Jeri Love DVDs (if you don't have gym access). See if they have them at the library. You can do them at home in front of the tv. She's easy to follow, inspirational, it doesn't seem THAT hard (you start with whatever dumbell weight you can handle- like start with some 4s or 5s, work up to some 8s), and you get a serious burn & soreness for the next day, so you know it really DID something. Having more muscles makes you burn off your food super fast. Give it a shot! See if they have the pink cover one (my favorite), then the green, then the blue.0

You could still walk but add weights well walking and faster speed. that will also help I know when i walk i always take the boys in the wagon. Thats like 100 pounds that i am pullin the entire 4 miles. I am always sore the next day and def sweaty when i am done.0

I agree completely. I once hit a brick wall and I was eating right and jogging several miles a day. I decided to change things up a bit on my cardio and started doing interval sprints instead of jogging. It worked for me and I lost an additional 20lbs pretty quickly.0 -
Thank you everyone for the posts! I have some good ideas to try. I hope it helps! Wish me Luck and God Bless!0
