Is there a reason you believe caffeine is harmful or do you have a medical condition that requires you to limit caffeine intake?
That aside: hot chocolate has very little caffeine IIRC.
EDIT: And I agree with above poster, decaf tea should have even less. Decaf coffee too.0 -
There are many teas out there that don't have caffeine in them. I have thyroid issues to, so I know how sucky it is to have to avoid caffeine. But I love tea...I drink a LOT of tea, and the kinds I get are all naturally caffeine free.0

I like spicy v-8 mixed with some beef boullion or beef broth. (has the tast of a thicker vegetable soup base) a bit filling too!0

Many herbal teas are quite tasty and have no actual tea leaves in them. Most, if not all, are caffeine free.0

any fruit tea - I love raspberry and echinicea :bigsmile:0

Edit: Whoops! That^^ was supposed to be in reply to the v8 stuff. :P0 -

If they are naturally caffeine free, then they aren't really tea.
..With that said, unless you are really sensitive to caffeine, the amount of caffeine in tea is not something you should worry about.0 -
There are many herbal "teas" available that are just herbs and flowers with no caffeine. My favorite is mint. But I have one by The Republic of Tea that tastes like apple cider that is also wonderful.
And depending on how strictly you have to avoid caffeine, there are green teas and white teas that have much less caffeine than black tea. If you haven't tried it, jasmine green tea is quite lovely.
And if you have the calories to spare, hot chocolate and hot apple cider are both wonderful.0 -
I have hypothyroid and told to watch my caffeine intake..but with they thyroid..comes the problem of beind cold.. During the summer months..I had no issue drinking loads of water..but now..it makes me cold.
Thanks for the suggestions..I think I will stick with tea..but get fruity ones that are decaf..0 -
I love going to Teavana when the seasons change for whatever tea-herbal or actual tea leaf-they are featuring. Teavana is soooooo amazing!!!!!0

Agreed. I am quite sensitive to caffeine, but I find that I am able to drink one 6-8oz cup of coffee in the morning and be fine. Caffeine is actually really healthy when consumed in moderation. I prefer decaff if I'm buying it from somewhere though.0
