and possibly even wii fit?

Is Zumba more like a workout video or a game? Does it take a while before you are doing a longer workout??

I have a wii fit but I hardly use it because there is a lot of stopping and switching games and my heart rate goes down.

take the step for example. It only goes for a short time and then I have to start over :/ am I doing something wrong? Do I have to continue to do the small sequences before it lets me go longer and get more advanced? Or is there a way to skip to like an hour long workout?

Thank for any help you can give

the steps are there to show you the routines you will be doing in the games, you should have different options at the start, i have it for the kinect and i believe they are essentially the same game, i initialy choose play, then class then choose my level and time i think the longest class is 45 mins, you also have the party but i've not ventured down that route yet. so i don't consider zumba to be a game its certainly a work out (my hrm shows me burning roughly 500cals during a 45min session)

I love Wii Zumba, and don't care for Wii fit for serious working out. Though it has a lot of fun games. Zumba starts with 20 minute sessions, you score high enough and it unlocks another session. You end up with 20 min in beginning, intermediate and expert, then 45 min ones, then Zumbathon which is 60 min. It doesn't boot you off, you can go through the whole session even if you score low, took me a little while to be coordinated enough to increase my scores but I was able to still keep moving and burn calories when I was stuck on a move or something.

I do this every morning.. there are a variety of different levels... a couple beginner levels of 20 min each, and intermediate at 20 or 45 min...Expert! etc or a the Zumba Party mode...

I definitely find it a work out more than a game... the music is awesome... and they are encouraging as well... telling you you are doing a great job, good job etc, even remind you to drink your water :D

I think it was worth it, and I enjoy it... :D

In the beginning I checked out the classes to have an idea of what I was doing, but I just stuck with party, and worked my way through them as I burned calories.

I highly recommend Gold's Gym Cardio Dance for Wii. It has not only Latin Dance (Zumba) with many levels, but also other great workouts such as Cardio Boxing, Bull Fighting, etc. It is definitely a much greater workout than Wii Fit. Everyone I have recommended it to loves it :) (and it's much cheaper than Wii Zumba)

I love Zumba for Wii and Wii Fit!!! They are fun! They combine fun games and a calorie burn. I dont know if I would completely rely on them for all of my weight loss needs but they are definitely good for a nice sweat! I would recommend them.
