NSV at the mall despite 2 week plateau

I've been really frustrated, I have not seen a number on my scale change in 2 WEEKS! Despite coming in under my calorie goals and working my butt off at the gym. It's been really disheartening.

I went to the mall today. I tried on some cheap-o boots at Target and was surprised they fit over my calves (no boots ever do) and chalked it up to a fluke. Later on I hit DSW and decided to try on some other boots. And I was SHOCKED I was actually able to fit about half of the boots around my calf. I went home and measured my calves and I have lost 1.5 inches in circumference. I'm flabbergasted!

I spin often and have always had super muscular calves. I know a lot of people think that if you spin and crank up the resistance that you will bulk up, but I really don't think that is true given my situation and that I spin 3-4 times a week.

I really really really wish I had the 130 bucks to buy those boots!

my two main motivators in this whole process are the idea of wearing white t-shirts and knee high boots.

    way to go!!

Good for you!! My daughter Loves DSW. She started going there when she started her weightloss had to stop a bit and buy new clothes when she lost the weight and had to buy new clothes. Now it's her favorite place and she has rockin' shoes! :flowerforyou:

Hey! I totally feel your pain with the scales. I've been on here for near on a year, working my bum off. Yet the scales haven't changed yet. =) BUT... I have lost 7cm on my belly button... I've lost 5cm on each thigh... And 7cm on my ribs. Sooooooooo... I guess the point is, you could be gaining muscle. I talked to my doctor, and he's said that muscle weighs four times as much as fat. So I really urge you not to feel discouraged about this. =) (And I'm not a skinny person saying that the scales haven't changed. I'm a 189lb/85.3kg girly.)
