So i have been starting again on my calorie counting but falling off on the weekends and i think..ok ok....I know this is my issue. A friend of mine that tries to stay fit and tends to workout a lot, gave me a new way to try and lose some more. What he told me was to watch my calorie intake from 9-5 and he says try to stay under 1000, realistically i need a bit more compared to him. Him being 180 me being almost twice his size 350, but i try to eat less from 9-5 not to exceed 1800, and then make sure i work off all the food i ate and then eat a regular dinner, within my calorie count that is. Does this help or hinder weight loss? Any suggestions to help improve upon what i am doing?

As a former 310 Lb guy myself, I started my diet at 1600 calories and stuck at that number. After a week of headaches or so, I got used to it. Your stomach has to shrink a little bit- I don't know if that is literally true, but it is a good working metaphor.

When you eat really isn't that important, and you don't want to shift unhealthy eating habits from one time of day to another. Just eat less and walk from time to time. Don't worry about serious exercise until you have the diet down well. Log everything and eat tons of fiber. It will make you feel more full. Consider carbs useless until you start exercising. Don't ban them, but don't eat carbs for the sake of it. Reduce their intake, you don't need that many carbs- you are storing plenty of energy as it is.

i think it is good to stay low on calories during the day i usally have about 300 for breakfast and lunch try and eat fruit or somthing low for your snacks if hungry . i try not to eat the calories i have earnt through exercise as when your exercising your burning it up thats how you loose the weight to. no use eating them you have to burn 3000 cals to loose a pound so i have read. the only time i will use some of my cals is at the week end if i am out for a meal or fancy a cake but i make sure after that i will go on a long walk to burn some cals off hope this helps you out:smile:

I am following the limit of fitness pal and my goal is 2500 a day for this, but i try to keep it under 1800 from 9-5, I workout hard 4-5 days a week. Just wondering if this works to help the process if it's better to burn off all the stuff in your stomach and then have a dinner or if you there is a different way to go about this, i have lost weight on the my fitness pal schedule i was at 388 down to 328 and then gained 22 lbs back, just seems like i am plateaued and need to get out of the funk.
